MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – An Alabama appeals court says a judge must reconsider the terms of retired NBA player Wesley Person’s divorce.

The Alabama Court of Civil Appeals on Friday overturned part of a Crenshaw County judge’s order regarding Person’s divorce from Lillian Person in 2013.

The decision says the couple lived off investments from $40 million Person earned during an 11-year NBA career.

The two disagreed over several issues after Lillian Person accused Wesley Person of adultery. A judge ordered Wesley Person to pay alimony, but the appeals court says that order can’t stand since there’s no evidence Lillian Person needs it after getting more than $2 million in the divorce.

Person is a Brantley native who played at Auburn University before going to the NBA.
