City of Brundidge Hosts 25th Annual Peanut Butter Festival

The city of Brundidge Celebrated it’s Peanut Butter heritage Saturday.

It was all part of the 25th annual Peanut Butter festival. One of the  earliest peanut butter mills, Johnston’s Peanut Butter Mill was started in the city in 1928. Saturday’s festival featured over 100 vendors, entertainment, arts and crafts and free peanut butter.  Hundreds of people attend the event each year.

“A lot of people volunteer their time and effort and their equipment so it’s kind of a festive event. It’s very casual family oriented so people just enjoy coming,” says Mayor Jimmy Ramage of Brundidge.

The festival is hosted each year by the Brundidge Historical Society.
