Record Warmth Possible Through Thursday
More record warmth is ahead through at least Thursday of this week. High pressure will hold on until then but a cold front is on the way and so is much cooler air. The front comes through dry but it will bring an end to the record heat. Highs will fall back into the 70s while overnight lows bottom out in the low to mid 40s. More dry air will spill into the region and this will keep the drought going until further notice.
