Cold front heading southward
This summer-like weather pattern will hold on for one more day and then fall conditions make a return. Temps soar back into the mid to upper 80s ahead of a cold front on Thursday. The front comes through dry but much cooler air spills into the region behind the frontal boundary. Gusty northwest winds will usher in the cooler air on Friday. Morning lows will hover in the low to mid 40s throughout the weekend. Daytime highs will manage mid to upper 70s so that will put us back where we should be for this time of the year.
