Patrick Quinn and his son, Patrick Wilson Quinn, are rooting on the Cubs in the World Series.
In fact, the Quinn’s have been rooting them on for several generations.

“It was always the plan that if the Cubs ever made it to the World Series that we would go to Chicago, be in Wrigleyville around Wrigley Field,” said Quinn.

So the Quinn family decided to go last weekend to take in the celebrations of Game 4 and 5.
But things changed when two men walked up to the father and son taking pictures outside of the stadium Saturday.

“A man tapped me on the shoulder. He said, ‘is that your son?’ I said, ‘yes,’ and told him we weren’t going to the game. And he said, ‘well, you’re going to the game now.’ And I was speechless,” said Quinn.

Two tickets to Game 4 of the World Series. Their dreams had come true.

“Well, my dad, a lot of lucky stuff has happened to him. But I never thought he would get tickets to the World Series, but he did. And I was just shocked,” 11-year-old Patrick Wilson.

“When those tickets scanned. It was like we are going to the World Series! I couldn’t help it. I had tears in my eyes. I’m hugging him. He’s hugging me,” said Quinn.

But… the surprises didn’t stop there.
About the third inning of the game, something else happened.

“A guy from the Cubs just walked up. We were on a ramp and he just gave me a ball… And I was just like, ‘how did I get a ball?'” said Patrick Wilson.

A game ball of the World Series.

And while they are still rooting for their Cubs, win or lose…. They already have priceless memories for years to come.

“It was such a great experience,” said Quinn.

“I think I’ll remember this for ever,” said Patrick Wilson.
