Key States to Watch on Election Night
As voters head to the polls, a lot will depend on who turns out to vote. And there will be a few key states to watch.
While Alabama is expected to go overwhelmingly Republican, political analyst Steve Flowers says this election will come down to seven battleground states.
And some may be called early in the night.
“Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, and maybe Pennsylvania. And a fifth one is New Hampshire. So five of the seven pivotal states are in the Eastern time zone, which means you may have an early call on the election,” said Flowers.
Flowers says about 15 percent of the votes in the country will be Hispanic voters primarily in Florida and Nevada.
Florida has already cast more early voter ballots than it did in the whole election of 2000. That shows just how much the state has grown since in 16 years.
