Montgomery’s Reggie Barlow helps Tuskegee find 10th regular season game

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AlabamaNews.Net) — It appears the Tuskegee University football team will play a tenth regular season game for 2016 as the Golden Tigers’ athletic department has announced that the 14th-ranked team has reached an agreement to face Virginia State University Saturday.

Monday night, Virginia State Trojans’ Head Football Coach and Montgomery native Reggie Barlow confirmed Saturday’s game with AlabamaNewsNet Sports.

Tuskegee (8-1) and Virginia State (8-2) are now set to meet at Cleve L. Abbott Memorial Alumni Stadium at 12 noon.

The Golden Tigers enter the contest ranked sixth in Super Region 2 and are in the midst of competing for a playoff spot for the fourth consecutive year in NCAA Division II. Meanwhile, Virginia State – a member of the CIAA – is a member of Super Region 1.
