Selma Police: Man Shoots Wife Multiple Times

A Selma woman is in serious but stable condition tonight after being shot multiple times by her husband.

Police said 33 year old Roderick Pratt is multiple charges including kidnapping, domestic violence and attempted murder.

Lt. Tory Neely said Pratt held his estranged wife at gunpoint, choked her, then shot her when she tried to sneak away.

“She was struck in the neck area once. She was struck three times in the arm and she was struck one time in the side which collapsed a lung and she was transported to the trauma center,” said Neely.

He said Pratt is being held in the Dallas County Jail without bond.
