Marengo Co. Authorities Search for Home Invasion Suspects

From the West Alabama Newsroom–  Authorities in Marengo County are searching for a suspect they say is armed and extremely dangerous and they’re asking for help from the public to find him.

Sheriff Ben Bates says Stanley Young of Wilcox County is wanted on charges that include robbery, arson and kidnapping.

Bates says the charges stem from an armed home invasion that happened in the Flatwood community Sunday morning.

Bates says Young and another man robbed the victim, duck-taped his hands, feet and mouth and set his house on fire.

“We are diligently searching for him,” said Bates.

“We’ve got several different local and federal agents that’s looking for him and we not going to stop looking ’til they be brought to justice.”

Bates says Young is also wanted for a bank robbery in Perry County.

He says anyone with information concerning his whereabouts should call 9-1-1 or the Marengo County Sheriff’s Office at (334) 295-4208.
