Senator Ross Holds 13th Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway

Senator Quinton Ross held his 13th Annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway early Wednesday morning

Senator Quinton Ross held his 13th Annual Thanksgiving meal giveaway early Wednesday morning.

Senator Ross and members of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity teamed up with Publix Grocery Store and the non-profit organization TEAM 26 to give 26 families a full thanksgiving meal. Ross and the fraternity members carried bags of stuffing, pies, canned vegetables, and of course turkeys out to the cars of these families.

The families were selected by churches and other organizations that saw the families were in need. Senator Ross says he looks forward to this giveaway every year, and that it’s a blessing for him to be able to give back to the community.

“Makes it all the better for this Thanksgiving holiday knowing that somebody will be blessed by what we’ve done today is just heart-warming for all of us that are here today. Because again, this is the season of giving and we want everyone to enjoy and be thankful for just the little things,” says Ross.

Twenty-six families were chosen because of TEAM 26, and also because Senator Ross represents District 26.
