Dallas Co. EMA Monitoring Severe Weather Threat
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
Emergency Management officials in Dallas County are keeping a close eye on weather conditions.
EMA Director Toya Stiles says there’s a chance for severe weather overnight and into Wednesday morning.
She says the primary threats include brief tornadoes, damaging winds of up to 60 miles per hour and quarter-size hail.
Stiles says she’ll continue to carefully monitor the slow moving storm system as it approaches.
“I will monitor the radar to see what direction the storm is headed and I will send out updated weather information to our elected officials, government agencies, public schools, city schools and to the public,” she said.
Work crews and local law enforcement are on alert.
No word on how the weather will affect schools.
