United Food and Fuel Shopping Spree for Magical Christmas Toy Drive
Alabama News Network’s Olivia Deas and Caitlyn Cline teamed up with Ben McNeill of United Food and Fuel on Tuesday. They shopped until they dropped and brought back bags of toys for the kids.
They filled three carts full of toys and came in only slighty over budget at a little more than $1,200. McNeill says there’s no price too high when it comes to Christmas.
“Well it’s fun for one thing! And it’s nice to know that we’re helping out some people that may not have a Christmas-time, wake up in the morning and have something fun to play with, it just gives a great joy to do that, really does,” he says.
The Alabama News Network will be hosting the Magical Christmas Toy Drive until December 16th. Anyone wishing to donate can bring toys to any of the drop-off locations or to the station on Harrison Road.
