Troy University New License Plate Tags Available in January
There will be a new license plate available soon for Troy University fans.
University officials recently released the new design for the tag. The university’s Trojan sword is featured on the new tag and now 6 digits are on the plate instead of 5 on the previous tag. The tags are 50 dollars and will be available across the state in January. $48.75 each tag goes toward Troy University Trojan Pride Scholarship Fund. University officials say it’s a big part of helping students at the university as for the design, they say positive feedback has been given.
“Affordability is the number one issue in higher education right now, so this is critically important in making higher education more affordable for students at Troy,” Walter Givhan, Senior Vice Chancellor for Advancement and Economic Development.
“A lot of people are excited. especially with the success of the football program this past season. there are a lot of hits on our social media sites. people are really excited,” says Judge Wes Allen.
University officials say right now Troy University is ranked number 3 in the state with over 9,000 Troy University license plates in Alabama.
