Colder Air Arrives in the River Region!

The cold front bringing an Arctic airmass behind it is moving through the River Region today. There is some cloudcover behind the front, so expect mostly cloudy skies this afternoon. The clouds will help it feel quite cool out there this afternoon. Expect temperatures to start falling after the lunchtime hour. Temps may be in the 40s for most of Thursday afternoon.

It gets even colder tonight. Cold air will continue to spill into the area. Skies will become clear tonight and it will remain quite windy. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 20s to around 30 to the south. Winds chills Friday morning will be in the lower 20s to upper teens. There will be plenty of sun Friday afternoon, but it will be a cold day with highs in the mid 40s. Friday night will be our coldest night. Expect temperatures in the mid 20s early Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon will also be rather cool with highs in the low 50s.

Milder weather is expected by Sunday afternoon. Highs will make it back into the low 60s under partly cloudy skies. Rain chances return next Monday, and look to be the highest on Tuesday. Mild weather expected to start next week with highs around 70 both Monday and Tuesday. Another cold front moves through next Wednesday, bringing another Arctic chill to the River Region.
