Need for Foster and Adoptive Parents in Alabama
Hundreds of children across the state of Alabama are up for adoption this Christmas. Currently there are over 5500 children in the foster system and 190 of those are located in Montgomery County.
Officials with the Department of Human Resources are asking for help in giving these children the homes and families they deserve.
“We need foster and adoptive parents, we need individuals that can take this on as a ministry,” explained Ruthie Fitzpatrick, “we can never pay a foster parent enough for the time and the effort that they put into helping and assisting.”
If you don’t think you are ready to be a foster or adoptive parent, they also need volunteers an many areas.
