Prayer Vigil in Remembrance of Alexis Hunter Set in Selma
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
A Selma woman whose daughter was killed over a cell phone three years ago is speaking out in an effort to stop the violence in the community and to honor the memory of her daughter.
Joann Hunter says a part of her died when her daughter, Alexis, was shot and killed during a robbery back in 2013.
She says there’s a prayer vigil Saturday in remembrance of her daughter and to pray for an end to senseless killings and gun violence in the community.
“If you have lost a loved one, mother, brother, family member, come out and share with us,” said Hunter.
The vigil starts at 2:00 pm at the corner of Franklin and Memorial.
