A (Mostly) Warm and Wet Weekend

Expect much warmer temperatures as we head into Friday afternoon. Winds will turn to the southeast today, helping to bring in warmer gulf air. This will also increase available moisture in the River Region. Temperatures continue to warm this evening into Saturday morning. By Saturday morning, temperatures will be in the low 60s. Temps will warm into the mid 70s Saturday afternoon. Cloudcover will also increase across the area. Expect mostly cloudy skies on Saturday. A few showers will be possible Saturday afternoon and evening.

More rain will impact the river region on Sunday. A line of storms is expected to move trough the river region from northwest to southeast on Sunday. The storms will be on the leading edge of a cold front. The front will be right behind the storms, and temperatures will fall quickly behind it. Temps fall into the upper 30s to low 40s Sunday evening.

Monday will be cooler with highs in the low 50s. A few showers are possible as the front stalls along the gulf coast. Lows will drop into the upper 30s Monday night. A few more showers are possible on Tuesday with highs in the mid 50s. Looks like we get a break from the rain on Wednesday, before more rain arrives next Thursday ahead of another front.
