United Brothers and Sisters Organization Hosts Annual Toy Drive

Dozens of area children recieved a few early gifts from the United Brothers and Sisters toy drive Saturday.

The toy drive was coordinated by councilman david burkette and members of the United Brothers and Sisters. It’s an organization of local fraternity and sorority members making efforts to make a difference in the Montgomery community. Last year the group served over 70 children with their toy drive. This year, they are excited to serve over 80 children.

“This is the seventh year that we’ve combined and collaborated together to do this and it just sends a message out to the community that they are loved and they are cared for,” says Councilman David Burkett.

The United Brothers and Sisters are still taking donations for area children. They are asking residents to drop them off at 70 West Edgemont Avenue in Montgomery.
