Cold Monday, but Warmer Temperatures Ahead

The cold front is pushing out of the southeastern parts of Alabama this morning. Behind the front, expect a mostly cloudy sky and chilly highs can be expected throughout the area, with upper 40s. With winds out of the north close to 10 MPH, wind chill factors will be running about 4 or 5 degrees lower than temperatures. The sky will be mostly cloudy for the evening and overnight hours, with lows dropping into the upper 30s.

TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY: Temperatures will start to make a rebound from the colder temperatures that ended our weekend and started the week off with. The sky will be partly sunny for both days through the afternoon on Wednesday, before the next chance of rain moves in for Wednesday night and into Thursday. Highs on both days will be mainly in the upper 50s and lower 60s. Lows will be in the 30s and 40s for Tuesday night, and 40s and 50s for Wednesday night.

THURSDAY FRONT: A cold front will be pushing through the area on Thursday morning, bringing with it a chance of showers during the pre-dawn through the afternoon hours. Rainfall totals for the event will be around 0.10 inches or less. Highs will be in the low 60s. The sky will quickly clear out for the evening, and overnight lows will drop mainly into the 30s.

FRIDAY THROUGH THE CHRISTMAS: The sky will be mostly sunny for Friday, with temperatures in the 50s for highs and overnight lows in the 30. Then the sky will become partly for Christmas Eve with highs mainly in the upper 50s and lower 60s and then mid 60s are expected on Christmas Day with a chance of rain returning late that night. However, at this time, the Christmas weekend is looking nice.
