Mild Tonight, With a Few Afternoon Showers Sunday

After a sunny start to the day, clouds built in at around noon Saturday and have hung on into the evening hours. Expect the clouds to stick around for much of the evening tonight, but the clouds will help us out a bit tonight. Cloud cover will hold temperatures up a bit this afternoon, with lows remaining in the 60s tonight, versus the mid-40s we had last night. More clouds than sun are expected on Sunday as well. A few scattered showers will be possible ahead of a cold front. The front will push through the area early Monday. The showers and clouds clear out, and temperatures will fall into the mid 40s again Monday morning.

Cooler air works into the River Region on Monday, with highs only topping out in the lower 60s. Skies are expected to be sunny on Monday. Monday night into early Tuesday will be chilly, with lows falling into the 30s. Tuesday will be dry for most of the day, but scattered showers may work into the area Tuesday night. The best chance for heavier rainfall will be during the day Wednesday. The combination of cloudcover, rain, and cooler air working into the area on the backside of an area of low pressure will result in mid 50s for high temperatures. Lows Wednesday night will be in the mid 30s. Cool and dry on Thursday, with skies clearing and highs in the 50s, then temperatures fall back into the mid 30s by Friday morning.

Looks like we enter another warming trend Friday through next weekend. Highs will be in the 60s Friday and Saturday, with 70s possible next Sunday.
