Cooler Today, Rain Returns by Midweek
A cold front moved through the area overnight, and the weather today, will be cooler. The sky will be mostly sunny across the area, daytime highs will make it into the mid 60s and our winds will mainly be out of the north at 5-10 MPH. The sky will continue to me mostly clear throughout the overnight hours, and lows will dip down to around 40º across the area.
RAIN RETURNS: Tomorrow will start off mostly sunny, but clouds will increase ahead of our next chance of showers. Afternoon highs will be near 70° across the area. The combination of a shortwave being pushed into our area by a trough moving southward over the Great Lakes, and a surface low moving near the Gulf Coast will make the risk for rain likely from Tuesday night throughout the day on Wednesday. Cooler and drier air will move in after the rain pushes out by Wednesday evening. Highs on Wednesday will be in the 50s throughout the area. Rainfall totals could range from 1/4 inch 1/2 inches across much of the area, with some locations receiving a little more under heavier downpours.
DRY END TO WEEK: Thursday will be cooler with highs in the 50s, and the sky will be mostly clear. A warming trend begins through the weekend. No rain is expected at this point, as this should be a nice weekend Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s for Friday, with 70s returning for Saturday and Sunday.
Have a great day!
Ryan
