Human Skull Found in Wooded Area in Pine Hill

A human skull is founded in a wooded area in Wilcox County and authorities think it could belong to an elderly man who went missing nearly seven years ago.
Pine Hill Police Chief Nikisha Gailes says the skull was discovered by loggers Monday afternoon.
She says it likely belongs to George Mason, an elderly man who went missing back in October of 2010.
She says search crews scoured the area Tuesday morning in an effort to find more remains.
“They get here we showed them where the skull was found, was located. They turned the dogs loose, they kind of hit the area pretty much for the rest of the remains. There were some bones but we’re not sure if they are human bones as of yet,” said Gailes.>
Gailes says the skull and other remains will be sent to Montgomery to forensics for DNA testing.
