Cold Night, Pleasant Sunday Ahead!

Temperatures warmed to the mid and upper 60s across central and south Alabama Saturday afternoon. Skies remain clear tonight with winds dying down. This will allow temperatures to fall quickly Saturday evening. Overnight lows will be in the mid 30s tonight. Sunday morning will be chilly, but skies will be clear. A full day of sunshine expected Sunday, with afternoon highs in the mid-60s.
Cloud cover begins to increase Monday night. Winds at the surface will also become southerly, which will bring the area back into a gradual warming trend. Skies will be mostly cloudy by Monday morning, with scattered showers possible throughout the day. High temps will be around 70. The clouds hold Monday night lows in the upper 50s to around 60. Showers will again be possible on Tuesday, with highs reaching near 80 once again. The best chance for more widespread rain and some thunderstorms arrives Wednesday afternoon and evening ahead of a cold front.
Rain should exit our area by Thursday morning. It will also be much cooler on Thursday behind the front. Highs look like they will be around 60 Thursday afternoon. Thursday night low temperatures will be chilly, falling into the 30s for most. The cooler weather could last through next weekend, featuring highs in the 60s and lows near 40.
