A Less-Than-Sunny Sunday Coming Up
Saturday was another very pleasant day for central and south Alabama. If you’re heading out this evening, expect mostly clear skies with temperatures falling into the 50s. Overnight lows will be chilly, but should remain in the lower 40s around sunrise Sunday. Skies will be mostly cloudy on Sunday, and there could be a few isolated showers in the area. However, more substantial rainfall arrives on Tuesday.
Sunday night will be more mild, with temperatures only falling into the mid 50s. Skies remain mostly cloudy on Monday, with isolated showers becoming more likely through the day. Again, the best chance for rain will hold off until Tuesday. Thunderstorms will be likely, although the severe weather threat looks very minimal at this time. Many locations could pick up around .5-1″ of beneficial rainfall, however.
A bit of rainfall could remain across the southeast early Wednesday morning, but it will quickly be pushed out by a cold front advancing through the area. Skies will clear out quickly Wednesday, and so it looks like we will see plenty of sunshine. Wednesday afternoon will be cooler, with highs in the mid 60s. A very gradual warming trend is expected through Friday, with sunny skies for the area. Overnight lows on Wednesday and Thursday will be in the lower 40s. Another shot at some rain comes our way next weekend.
