Clouds and a few sprinkles were the main story for Sunday. Temperatures topped out in the upper 60s Sunday afternoon after a chilly start this morning. The clouds and southeast winds will moderate temperatures tonight, lows will be in the mid 50s. The clouds will remain fairly thick tonight and through Monday. It now looks like rain will remain out of our area until Tuesday. Monday afternoon highs will be in the mid-seventies.

An approaching cold front on Tuesday brings the chance for moderate to heavy rainfall with some thunderstorms. Thunderstorms should remain well below severe criteria. Expect some scattered showers Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon. but the bulk of the rainfall and the best chance for T’storms will be in the evening and overnight hours. Tuesday afternoon highs will be in the lower to mid seventies.

Rain totals through Tuesday night could be around .5-1 inch. Some rain could be left in our southeast counties very early Wednesday morning, but rain will be winding down after midnight Tuesday. A cold front will move through the area Wednesday, clearing skies from NW to SE. Highs will still be around 70 Wednesday afternoon.

Cooler air will result in Wednesday night lows in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Thursday will be sunny with highs in the lower to mid 70s. The chance for rain is back for Friday and next weekend. Right now, looks like the best chance for rain would be next Sunday. It also looks like temperatures will be quite warm on Saturday, with some locations possibly reaching the 80s.
