Another Shot Of Rain Monday and Cool March Temperatures
Nice clearing of the skies this afternoon across the area. Temperatures were in the mid 50s for most of the afternoon, and it looks like another chilly night is in store. Clouds gradually build back in tonight, but no rain is expected. Lows will be in the low 40s to upper 30s. Another shot for rain arrives Monday afternoon and evening ahead of a cold front. Rain amounts will be light, from around one tenth to three-tenths of an inch. Monday high temperatures will be in the mid 60s.
The cold front moves through by Tuesday morning. A few showers are possible early with some wraparound moisture behind the front. The front brings in a reinforcing shot of cool air, and this will set up a cool afternoon/cold night pattern for our area. Tuesday afternoon highs will be in the mid 50s, falling to right around freezing by Wednesday morning. Wednesday looks to be our coldest day, with highs only in the lower 50s. It does look like we will have Sunny to Mostly sunny skies From Wednesday through about Friday, however.
Thursday morning should be our coldest over the next 8 days, with temps in the mid to upper 20s. Therefore, it is likely we will see a frost advisory or freeze warning issued for Wednesday night. Upper 50s expected Thursday afternoon, with mid 60s by Friday afternoon. Another chance for rain arrives next weekend, with slightly warmer temperatures.
