Late Season Cold Snap!

Winter still remains in full force across the deep south. We are at the beginning of a cold snap that will last through Friday morning. An eastward moving cold front pushes some rain through here tonight then the colder air spills in behind the frontal boundary.  Gusty northwesterly winds will usher in the cold air Tuesday. We are sitting very close to the freezing mark Wednesday morning. It will be even colder with upper 20s Thursday morning. If you have tender plants outside, you should take precautions to keep them safe from the frosty conditions. During this cold period it will remain dry with mostly clear skies Wednesday through Friday. Another chance for rain returns Friday night into Saturday but its brief and we’re back to sunshine Sunday into early next week. Along with the sunshine comes a nice warming trend. Looks like mid to upper 70s return.
