Winter Returns This Weekend

So far, so good on this Thursday. Its another warm and spring-like day with temperatures in the low 70s for most spots. A fairly strong southeast wind is helping us out temperature-wise, and also pumping in some moisture that will be the fuel for slightly more widespread showers later on tonight. The overnight will be mild, with temperatures hovering in the low to mid 60s. Showers will be possible throughout the night. The best chance for rain will be early Friday morning through the early afternoon. Rain and maybe even a few rumbles will move through ahead of a cold front. Rain could be heavy at times, but we trend drier (and much cooler) by the afternoon.

Temperatures will likely be in the 40s by about 3PM Friday, and will only continue to fall on Friday night. Low temperatures fall into the upper 20s. Saturday will be cold and breezy. Actual high temperatures won’t reach 50 degrees. Saturday night will be very cold with lows in the low 20s.

For the weekend and the week ahead, its a good idea to get back into the routine of leaving your faucets with a slight drip overnight. Low temperatures will be in the 20s (low 20s most nights, and maybe even some teens) through at least next Thursday night. Monday may be the only day we reach 50 degrees through next Thursday.
