Warming Back Up Today
After a brutally cold morning with low temperatures well into the teens, we’re finally going to see some slightly warmer temperatures this afternoon. With highs ranging from the lower to mid 40s, snow and ice will be able to melt even in shaded areas. Road conditions will improve this afternoon, but there could still be some additional icy spots Friday morning with lows near 20 tonight.
The warming trend will continue on Friday. High temperatures will reach the lower to mid 50s, and with a sunny sky it should feel rather pleasant. Cold but not as cold on Friday night, with lows near 30.
The weekend is shaping up to be pretty nice. Highs will be near 60 Saturday afternoon, and even warmer on Sunday. Some locations could be pushing 70 degrees Sunday afternoon. Rain is back in the forecast on Monday ahead of the next cold front to impact our region. However, there won’t be an artic-sourced airmass behind this front, and so our temperatures will be a downright balmy (ok, a little sarcasm, but its been COLD this winter) 60 degrees or so next Tuesday through Thursday.
