Selma Shooting Suspect Gets Million Dollar Bond

From the West Alabama Newsroom–

The woman accused of shooting a three year old toddler in Selma made a first appearance in court Monday afternoon.

District Attorney Michael Jackson says a judge set bond for Cassandra Jones at a total of a million dollars.

Jones is charged with attempted murder and discharging a firearm into an unoccupied vehicle.

Police say Jones and two men opened fire on a woman at Magnolia Garden Apartments.

They say the woman’s three year old son was grazed by one of the bullets during the shooting.

“That was the alarming thing about this. You got a baby in a mother’s arms and still get shot, somebody still shooting at her. That’s a sad, that’s just a sad commentary,” said Jackson.

Kentrevious Washington and Adrian Richardson are wanted in connection with the shooting.

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts call Selma Police at (334) 874-2125.
