Montgomery Native is Oscar Nominated
Barry Brown may win Best Editor Academy Award Sunday!
CBS 8 will have a story about Barry Brown in our news this evening at 5:00PM and 6:00PM, and on ABC 32 at 5:30.
Then, Watch Your Community This Week over the weekend for an extended conversation with Brown. He says he was in a Montgomery dentist’s chair when he got the text informing him about his nomination for Black Klansman.
The movie tells the true story of a black Colorado police officer who infiltrates the KKK, using a white officer to play him when the time comes for him to meet the David Duke and other KKK leaders.
Brown tells us about having worked with Spike Lee on dozens of movies and projects over the years. He’s in Montgomery working on “Son of The South”, a film about Bob Zelner.
