Maximum Security Disqualified, Country House Official Winner of the Kentucky Derby
For the first time in Kentucky Derby history, the first horse across the finish line did not win the race.
Maximum Security crossed the finish line first but an objection was filed immediately after the race. After further review, Country House was named the official winner of the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby in Churchill Downs.
