Montgomery Police Identify Victim in Deadly Shooting

The Montgomery Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation following the Thursday evening shooting death of Paul Joyner, 33, of Montgomery and the wounding of an adult female.

MPD and Fire Medics responded to the 2800 block of Sixth Street at about 9:35 p.m. Nov. 21, after receiving a report of a subject shot. There, they located Joyner inside a vehicle who had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. An adult female was also located who had sustained a non-life threatening gunshot
wound.

MPD is investigating the circumstances that led to this fatal shooting. No arrests have been made at this time and no additional information is available for release in connection with this continuing investigation.
