Investigation Continues into Disappearance of Marengo Co. Man
From the West Alabama Newsroom–
It’s been a week since a missing Marengo County man — disappeared without a trace.
Now there’s a thousand dollar reward for information that could help authorities find him.
Thirty-six year old Willie Allen, Jr. was last seen at the Southeastern Cheese plant in Uniontown.
His car was found abandoned on Highway 80 West between Uniontown and Demopolis.
The keys were still in the ignition — and his cell phone was still in the car.
Jeffrey Allen is the missing man’s brother.
“I’m hoping that he return safely,” he said.
“But the other side of me want to say, someone did something to him.”
The body of an unidentified black male was found in a pond along Highway 80 Monday afternoon — not far from the area where Allen’s car was found a week earlier.
Investigators sent the body to forensics to be identified — and determine the exact cause of death.
Anyone with any information about the case is asked to call Uniontown Police Dept at (334) 581-5144 or the Marengo County Sheriff’s Department at (334) 295-4208.
