Wintry Precipitation Possible in Our Western Counties
The Alabama News Network Weather Authority team is monitoring weather issues throughout the area for today and tonight:
A WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect until 9PM tonight for Hale and Marengo counties in the western part of the Alabama News Network viewing area.
Freezing rain is expected, possibly mixed with sleet. Total ice accumulations up to two tenths of an inch. Temperatures will fall well below freezing by tonight with wind chills in the single digits.
The tornado watch that had been in effect for Covington County this morning has been canceled.
