Race for Montgomery City Council District One Seat Headed to Runoff

The race for the Montgomery City Council District One seat will go to a runoff.

Ed Grimes won 49-Percent of the votes, while his opponent Donnie Mims received 21-Percent of the vote. The runoff election is scheduled for august 24th. The seat was vacated with the death of Councilman Richard Bollinger back in March.
