COVID in Alabama Schools: Weekly Numbers Drop by More Than Half
The latest weekly Alabama Department of Public Health report on COVID in the state’s public schools shows cases dropping by more than half statewide.
The report for February 10 shows 4,700 cases, compared to 9,800 cases last week. By comparison, there were 26,260 cases in the January 20 report.
Cases had bottomed out late last year, when 414 cases were reported on December 2.
The state’s weekly reports don’t specify if the cases involve students, teachers or other staff members.

Autauga County: 95 (Feb. 3: 129)
Elmore County: 62 (Feb. 3: 123)
Pike Road: 20 (Feb. 3: 31)
Dallas County: 16 (Feb. 3: 33)
Selma: 17 (Feb. 3: 13)
