Alabama News Network has confirmed a body has been found near Interstate 85 at mile marker 18 in Montgomery County.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is on the scene.
The location is about two miles east of the Waugh/Pike Road exit.
The sheriff’s office says state D.O.T. workers spotted a man’s body at around 11:30 a.m., just a few feet inside of the woodline.
The identity and cause of death will be released after an autopsy.
