Shots were fired into the air outside of the Dillard’s store at the Shoppes at Eastchase early Tuesday morning before stores were open.

Montgomery police responded to the 7300 block of Eastchase Parkway around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of potential shots fired in the area.

Police were able to quickly take the suspect into custody, 29-year-old, William Broaden, Jr., of Union Springs, in the area of East Shirley Lane and East Boulevard.

Broaden has been charged with Public Lewdness and Reckless Endangerment.

The Shoppes at Eastchase spokesperson Suzanna Edwards says the shots stemmed from a domestic situation that started at home and carried over to the shopping center.

No one was injured in the incident.
