UPDATE: Montgomery Police Release New Information about Man Struck on Interstate 85

Montgomery police have released new information about a man who was struck on Interstate 85 and later died of his injuries.

Police say at about 12:15PM Saturday, they were called to  I-85 southbound between Taylor Road and Bell Road to a two-vehicle wreck.

Police say the driver of one of the cars involved, 50-year-old Winston Crumbaugh  of Montgomery, got out of his car and then was hit by a vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at a hospital. A passenger in his car suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.

The investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing and no further information is available  for release at this time. 

Police have released no other information, including details about the vehicle that struck Crumbaugh.
