Montgomery sanitation truck hit by gunfire, no one injured

A City of Montgomery Sanitation truck was damaged Thursday after being hit in a shooting incident near Alabama State University.

Officers were called just before 2 p.m. to the 800 block of Tuscaloosa Street in reference to shots fired in the area.

No one was injured in the incident. Police say several persons of interest have been detained.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
