Dry & Warmer Days Ahead
An area of low pressure to our west over Mississippi is helping to generate some rain and wind across our area. We managed to dodge anything strong or severe and I believe it will remain that way. The low will continue to move northward across Mississippi but still have a minor impact on our weather overnight into Friday. The winds will continue a bit gusty at times along with some showers lingering over parts of our area. Looks like we’re setting up for a partly sunny sky and temps in the upper 70s Friday afternoon. The warming will really kick in as we reach the lower to mid 80s Saturday afternoon. This should be the better day of the weekend weatherwise. A frontal boundary will enter the state late Saturday night and push through the area Sunday. We expect a few showers and possibly a storm or two. This frontal system quickly moves out and we’re drying out going into next week. High pressure will settle over the deep south and we facing several days of sunny and mild conditions.
