New details released about the new Pike Road High School

Pike Road Schools held its annual State of the Schools Address Thursday night.

In addition to addressing how students are doing academically, the big topic was the update on the new Pike Road High School.

The new school will be located on 73 acres of land across from the Pike Road water tower on Wallahatchie Road.

The new building will have a career tech center with STEM labs, state of the art science labs, two gyms and much more.

The old Georgia Washington campus will be converted into a junior high school campus for grades six through eight.

Pike Road Superintendent Dr. Keith Lankford tells Action 8 News that the plan is to hopefully start construction in March or April 2024.
