The Warm Days Keep Coming But Colder Air Will Soon Head This Way
The warmth continues to build but there are signs much colder air will head this way later next week. In the meantime, mostly sunny and warm fall days just keep coming! . High pressure over the deep south will keep our weather very quiet. We expect mainly clear and cool morning along with mostly sunny and warm afternoons. Temps will start in the 50s and warm into the lower to mid 80s each day. This will be the setup through the workweek and upcoming weekend. Those afternoon high temps in the 80s will be above the average for this time of the year. It’s normally upper 70s for late October. We could even see upper 80s in spots over the upcoming weekend. Looking ahead into early next week, I do see a frontal boundary trying to make some headway into the southeast. It now looks like the front will enter and move through the state Monday. We will include a chance for showers along with the frontal passage but any rainfall will be rather light. The quick frontal exit will set the stage for a nice and cool Halloween. That means no frightening weather for the little ghost and goblins while trick or treating.
