Action 8 Update: 15-year-old arrested in Carter Hill Road fatal shooting

Montgomery police say the juvenile male shot at an apartment complex on Carter Hill Road Tuesday has died.

Police and fire medics were called just before 11:00 a.m. to the 3500 block after receiving a report of a person shot.

Once they arrived, they found a 16-year-old male, of Montgomery, with a life-threatening gunshot wound. The unidentified male was taken to a local hospital for treatment where he later died Thursday.

MPD has charged a 15-year-old juvenile female, also of Montgomery, with one count of attempted murder and capital murder. Due to the suspect’s age, police have not released the identity at this time.

The suspect is currently in the Montgomery County Youth Detention Facility.
