Students from Saint James School spend the day giving back

Students at Saint James School in Montgomery had the opportunity Friday to give back to the community.

Several students took time away from the classroom to help lend a hand at the Heart of Alabama Food Bank and the Montgomery Zoo.

Action 8 News caught up with members of the senior class at the food bank as they were boxing food items for families in need.

The students boxed over 1,000 boxes of non-perishable food items.
