MPD: Second suspect charged in October 24th homicide
Montgomery police have charged a second suspect in the deadly shooting of 16-year-old male last month.
MPD Spokesperson Maj. Saba Coleman tells Action 8 News that a 16-year-old juvenile male, of Montgomery, has been charged with one count of attempted murder and capital murder.
Late last month, MPD also charged a 15-year-old juvenile female, of Montgomery, with one count of attempted murder and capital murder. Due to the age of both suspects, police have not released the identity at this time.
The shooting happened on October 24 at an apartment complex on Carter Hill Road.
Police and fire medics were called just before 11:00 a.m. to the 3500 block after receiving a report of a person shot.
Once they arrived, they found a 16-year-old male, of Montgomery, with a life-threatening gunshot wound. The unidentified male was taken to a local hospital for treatment where he later died.
Both suspects are currently in the Montgomery County Youth Detention Facility under no bond.
