CAMPAIGN 2024: Deadline to qualify for March primary ends
CAMPAIGN 2024:Here’s how to track who’s qualified for local, state and federal races in Alabama.
Potential candidates had until 5PM on Friday, November 10, to qualify with either the Democratic Party or Republican Party if they want to run in the March 5, 2024, primaries.
Some of the top races in 2024 include:
- Races for all seven Alabama U.S. House seats, including the open seat in the newly-redrawn District 2, which includes Montgomery
- U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice, which will be open with the retirement of Chief Justice Tom Parker
- Montgomery County Commission District 3, which will be open after Ronda Walker decided against seeking re-election
