8 ON YOUR SIDE CONSUMER ALERT: Two more companies are recalling their cinnamon applesauce pouches over concerns of possible lead contamination.

MORE INFORMATION ON RECALL

The recall started with Wanabana Apple Cinnamon Fruit Puree, which was sold at Dollar Tree, Sam’s Club and on Amazon.

Now, Schnucks and Weis have also recalled their similar products, which were not sold in Alabama.

The FDA says seven cases of possible lead exposure have been reported in five states. Alabama is not one of them.

Lead is toxic. The FDA says those who have eaten this food should go to the doctor for a blood test.
