Man shot and killed in Montgomery

A man is dead after being shot in Montgomery on Saturday.

Montgomery police have launched a homicide investigation after 54-year-old Tommy Perkins was killed. Police say the shooting happened Saturday at about 7:45PM in the 700 block of Golden Gate Drive. That is in a neighborhood in north Montgomery, just outside Northern Boulevard.
